We partnered with The Vault Recording Studio to produce “We Will Rock You Pittsburgh” in light of the pandemic that fell upon our community and the world. We assembled several Pittsburgh celebrities including Pittsburgh Dad, Mayor Bill Peduto and actor Joe Manganiello to spread the message to “Stay Home” and to provide comfort and encouragement to citizens across the city.
Current Pittsburgh Steelers Ben Roethlisberger, Cameron Heyward, and JuJu Smith-Schuster teamed up with former Steelers Brett Keisel and Charlie Batch to sing the opening of Queen’s mega-hit, “We Will Rock You”. Several members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra made an appearance as well as newscasters, athletes, and front-line workers.
The video sends a powerful message to all citizens in a reminder to stay home and stay safe, while linking a sense of community and thanking front-line workers for their tireless efforts. Awarded a 2020 Telly Award, “We Will Rock You Pittsburgh” has become beloved by many and was recognized on national media including Sports Illustrated. It has been viewed close to 100,000 times on YouTube and continues to reach new audiences daily.
